A Christian ministry
by women to women
CWCI Annual Women’s Convention
Across southern Australia (and beyond); across denominations; across all ages, women gather at Westminster School, Marion, on the third weekend in March for an inspirational time of worship, prayer, fresh truth from God’s Word, fellowship and fun.
Sarah Ames grew up in the Adelaide Hills. At the age of 10, she left with her family to live in the Philippines where her parents taught at Faith Academy, a school for Missionary Kids. Returning to Adelaide three years later, she started studying Japanese, a subject choice that sparked her life on a new trajectory! After graduating, Sarah taught Japanese in a high school in Adelaide.
In 2004, together with her husband and young family, Sarah began 12 years as a church planting missionary in Japan with TEAM (The Evangelical Alliance Mission). In 2016 her family transitioned back to Adelaide, where her two daughters are studying at university and her son is in primary school. Sarah’s husband, Owen, continues to serve with TEAM in a global leadership role.
Sarah enjoys her current role in a pastoral ministry with her home church and through volunteering at playgroup and visiting refugees. She has a passion for building relationships, encouraging others and finding opportunities to share the gospel.
Sarah is excited to share what God has been teaching her. It is a special privilege to have Rachel, Sarah’s 22-year-old daughter, participate with her during the Convention.
This year’s Convention has a special Mother/Daughter/Best Friend focus. Invite your mother, daughter, daughter-in-law or best friend to share with you this memorable weekend of going deeper with God together.
The Convention for 2018 is being held at:
Alison Avenue, Marion
The dates for the convention are 16th – 17th March 2018.
